First and foremost I want to talk about these "Bulletins" that are oh-so important. Yes, the system was ORIGINALLY meant to post things of interest that you wanted everyone to see and read. I can understand putting somethings on there, like a joke to lighten the mood perhaps, possibly a quiz or two sprinkled in there, it's all good. But when you put crap in there like "A RAPE STORY :(" or something like "REPOST THIS IN 34789238409 SECONDS OR ELSE YOU WILL DIE/GET HERPES/NEVER FIND LOVE/**** A CHICKEN/DO YOUR MOM!" Those things quite frankly piss me off, and whoever started them needs to jump off a building, hit a ledge on the way down, go through the ledge, then finally land mack dab in the middle of the road, did I mention the building was 30 stories high? Yeah that's a minimum height.

Yes, extremely annoying.

I also do not believe anyone who posts they were raped on the web where everyone can see what happened to them. It is too private and exposes too much pain.

Since both women and men can be victims, it is not something a wo/man would want to discuss world-wide. It's what s/he went through, and s/he needs a rape counselor because a person cannot get through the aftermath alone. A victim of any crime needs help.

In the USA there are Victims of Crime rights that will help pay the cost of counseling.

Most assuredly it should be taken to the police; even if nothing is ever done about the culprit, the information is on file that the person may do it again. Think of the students who have been victimized by teachers -- it is good they talked to their parents.

And for you, Bride2Be, you don't need to apologize for ranting -- you are going through enough just getting a wedding together to apologize in a Q%26amp;A group.
